Rather than being reprimanded, people were applauded for Tweeting and using their laptops and iPads during sessions at at on Friday.
EdCamps are less formal than traditional conferences; participants create the agenda at the beginning of the day and then take part in interactive sessions that are more like conversations than presentations. The event was free and open to anyone interested in education. Many of the day’s topics dealt with technology and education, and participants were encouraged to try taking notes on iPads (their own or borrowed for the day) or laptops.
