Vote by Mail and Early Voting Starts Tuesday for Renewal Levy

The election is on Aug. 7, and registration ends Monday.

Residents who want to vote early on the renewal levy for the can do so, starting Tuesday.

The . The renewal levy would not raise taxes for voters if passed. The levy goes to both permanent improvements and the general operating fund, and it brings in about $5.2 million per year.

Vote by mail and early voting at the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections began July 3 for the Aug. 7 election, according to a release from the board. Voters must request a ballot to vote by mail—ballot applications will not automatically be sent to their homes. Applications can be requested at , online or by calling the board at 216-443-3298.

The board is open for early voting from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, until Aug. 3. The office is located at 2925 Euclid Avenue in Cleveland.

If a voter needs to register or change his or her address, they must do so by 9 p.m. on July 9, according to the release. Voters can check their registration on the board’s website, and the information for updating it is available on this page.
