Another Huge Weekend For Bees’ Athletics

Girls' gymnastics team dominates at state championship; wrestling squad takes third; boys' basketball team advances.

The athletic programs at Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School enjoyed another big winning weekend.

The girls’ gymnastics team dominated the state tournament again, besting its previous high mark of 148 points, reported Cleveland.com. The girls also placed first in every single category they competed in.

The boys wrestling team held its own with the powerhouse programs around the state, giving Lakewood’s St. Edward High School a run for its money. The Bees finished third in the team race this, their sixth top-10 finish in the last seven years, reported Cleveland.com.

The boys basketball team advances to the second round of the District playoff after it edged out Olmsted Falls High School by one point. According to Cleveland.com, Brecksville will move on to face Lorain at Midview High School at 7:30 p.m. March 6.
