Brecksville-Broadview Heights Baseball Player Drafted to the Major Leagues

Brecksville-Broadview Heights graduate Michael Mancuso has been drafted by the Chicago White Sox, according to ESPN’s website. 

The 2011 graduate was drafted in Round 46.

Brecksville-Broadview Heights Athletic Director Dan Kalinsky said everyone is “very excited” for Mancuso.

“He’s been a great pitcher for us in his four-year career here,” Kalinsky said. 

Mancuso was primarily a pitcher for the high school team, but he also played third and first base, Kalinsky said.

Kalinsky noted that Mancuso also has a baseball scholarship, and he doesn’t know what the player’s plans are.
