Brecksville Kiwanis Members Volunteer at Kids in Flight

Four members of the Brecksville Kiwanis Club. spent June 22 volunteering at Burke Lakefront Airport, helping make a day extra special for children who are facing serious illnesses.

The non-profit organization celebrated, Kids In Flight, its 10th anniversary on Saturday sending a record number of children—and their families—on airplane rides, enjoying a complimentary lunch and enjoying an afternoon that included face painting, balloons, a raffle and music.

Founded in 2003, Kids in Flight uses aviation-related activities and airplane rides to give children with serious illnesses or disabilities an opportunity to escape by “soaring above their crises, complications and struggles.”
