City Collects Food for the Brecksville Pantry During September’s Shredding Day

Director of Ted Lux spent much of Saturday morning sorting through the donations collected for the Brecksville Pantry at the Shred Your Documents Day in the municipal parking lot.  

Shortly before the event ended at noon, the donations filled a Human Services Department bus, with more bags of goods stacked on the lift. Lux said it was a “tremendous amount” of donations, adding that he wasn’t able to keep the lift clear all morning.  

The donations are distributed once a month to residents in need in the community. Lux said the donations are sorted, and nothing that is past its expiration date is given out.
