The is looking for volunteer drivers.

The department offers a variety of programs and services, including transportation, to residents who are senior citizens or who have physical challenges. According to the department’s website, the trips can include medical appointments, errands and fun outings like restaurants.

Lux said the department most needs people who can drive the 14-passenger mini-bus. There is no special license requirement for that job, but the person who takes it on must be able to operate the wheelchair lift.

The department also needs van drivers for the Tuesday and Thursday errand days and car drivers, who need to be able to dedicate at least one day a month to driving, Lux said.
