Kiwanis to Help Santa Deliver Presents Around Brecksville This Weekend

The gift drop-off begins today.

It’s almost that time of year again—time for Santa and his helpers to pass out presents to children around Brecksville.

The Kiwanis Club of Brecksville has been hosting its for more than 20 years, said member . This year’s delivery will begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, and gift collection begins at noon today at .

To take part in the free service, families just have to drop off a wrapped, labeled gift. According to the program rules, the label will be provided at Chippewa Place. Rectangular or square presents are best, and round presents are not allowed. Gifts that are smaller than a shoebox are preferred; the rules include specific dimensions.

Here are the times and dates for gift drop-off:

  • Wednesday: 12 to 5 p.m.
  • Thursday: 12 to 5 p.m.
  • Friday: 12 to 7 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The residents at Chippewa Place help collect the presents in the days leading up to the delivery, and members of Kiwanis, Key Club and the help deliver them, Huth said.
