I think everone involved has a good heart and good intentions. However, should any thought/Read More dialogue be given to how violent and injury prone football is? Many of the injuries manifest in latter years. Would the money be better spent making people aware of the injury potential in football as compared to other sports? I know that football is like Mom and apple pie to many people but perhaps we as parents should take another look at the serious injury potential related to football.

Football is a contact sport and injuries do happen. I think Rush for the Cause is an exceptionalRead More example of the positives of sports. Nobody wants to see people get injured, but contact sports can result in injury. I agree dialogue should occur to improve on lowering the amount of injuries, but human beings were born to compete. Football is just an extension of that competition. I applaud Rush for the Cause, I was at the event today and it was one small example of teamwork in action. One person made that happen. Hats off to Matt Galland!
