Brecksville - Broadview Heights will play Solon in the district final game Wednesday
The Brecksville - Broadview Heights Bees softball team defeated Shaker Heights 10-0 Tuesday afternoon to advance in the state playoffs. The Lady Bees, one of the top teams in the state, dominated behind Freshman pitcher Kelly Geringer who kept Shaker hitters off the bases. Brecksville's hitters peppered the ball all over the field, collecting numerous multiple base hits and score runs in nearly every inning. The Bees will play tomorrow in the district championship against the winner between Solon and Garfield Heights. The game is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. at Solon's Roxbury Field.

The camps feature two 2-hour sessions and comprehensive teaching; participants receive two free tickets, walk in on-field parade
Batter up, kids! The Cleveland Indians is offering a summer camp for children ages 6-14 in eight area suburbs, including Brecksville-Broadview Heights. Each camp cosists of two 2-hour sessions and will take a comprehensive approach to teaching the game of baseball. Summer Camp instructors will focus on throwing, catching, fielding, hitting and base running, according to a prepared statement. The Brecksville golf course won six awards in The Plain Dealer's 2013 Best of Northeast Ohio Golf awards contest.
Brecksville golfers have known this for a while, but Northeast Ohio is finding out just how nice Sleepy Hollow Gof Course really is. In The Plain Dealer's 2013 Best of Northeast Ohio Golf awards contest, Sleepy Hollow won six first-place awards, as voted by golfers from all over. First-place awards included: Sleepy Hollow also finished in the top three in several categories including: Best Hot Dog, Best Snack Bar Food, Best Amenities, Best Group of Par-5 Holes, Best Group of Par-3 Holes, Best Course Conditions and Best Pace of Play.
