Your nominations wanted: Where do you like to go out to breakfast?
If you're going out to breakfast, you want to make the right choice. After all, it's the most important meal of the day. You want a fluffy pancake, not a flat one. You want coffee immediately and plenty of it. You want your bacon cooked just right. And, of course, you want friendly service. Beginning today -- Monday, March 26 and through 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 28 -- we'll be asking for your recommendations of the best places to take the family out to eat. Eating breakfast can set you up for a more successful day.
My kids have been in school for four days so far this year, and I’m already struggling to get them out of bed and to the breakfast table. I thought we would have at least one week of cheerful mornings when school started. It seems like I always hit the snooze button, woke up late and skipped breakfast regularly as a kid. I also remember being tired, crabby and hungry in school, whenever I did. Children who eat breakfast perform better in school, according to the Ohio Department of Health's Help Me Grow program. The program's website also says that eating breakfast can impact how kids learn and play and how good they feel. Eating breakfast is good for everyone.
