Verve Daddy Performs Sunday at Concerts on the Square

Blues-rock band is based in Northern Ohio, plays 6-8 p.m.

Verve Daddy will bring its "hand-crafted" rock 'n' roll to the Concerts on the Square series this Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. Verve Daddy describes the band as "six guys with rock and roll, blues, and garage roots" on its website.  Verve Daddy has recorded a CD of original songs, Ain't My Street.  The Brecksville Public Square is at the intersection of Brecksville and Royalton roads (Route 21 and Route 82).

From school board meetings to free music, there’s plenty going on in Brecksville this week.

Free Concert Sunday Night in Brecksville

The concert is the third in this summer’s Concerts on the Square series.

There’s another free concert in Brecksville tonight.   The concert is the third one in the Recreation Department’s “Concerts on the Square” series. The entire schedule can be found on the city’s website.   This week’s band is KB and the Riptides, which describes itself as a surf rock and R&B band on its website.  The concerts, which start at 6 p.m., take place in the band stand on Public Square, unless there’s rain, Kelly McNeill, supervisor of administrative services and special events coordinator for the Community Center said earlier this month. If that happens, the event is moved to the Community Center.  That could be the case for Sunday’s concert. As of Saturday evening, the National Weather Service was predicting a good chance of …

Free Concert This Sunday on Public Square

The show is part of a summer-long series run by the Recreation Department.

This Sunday, the band stand on Public Square will get put to good use. Brecksville's “Concerts on the Square” series kicked off last month, and the second free show is scheduled for tomorrow. The series has been going on for years, said Kelly McNeill, supervisor of administrative services and special events coordinator for the Community Center. The Recreation Department runs the series. If the weather cooperates, the concert takes place on the band stand in Public Square. If there’s rain, the festivities are moved to the Community Center, McNeill said.  As of Friday evening, this Sunday’s show looks to be in good shape; according to the National Weather Service, Sunday is expected to be hot and mostly sunny all day.
