A new business is opening in Brecksville today: Crochet Innovations. The shop will sell contemporary yarn and supplies, as well as handmade accessories and apparel, said owner Marianne Krier. Krier will also offer classes in crocheting. “I’ve always crocheted my whole life, since I was a child,” Krier said. Krier said she set her hobby aside when her family and former full-time job as a nurse came around, but she never gave up her love of crochet. When her grandchildren were born, she got started again by making baby blankets. Krier said the plans for the shop just came together—she had been looking for something a bit more creative than her last job working in medical records, she said.
