School Board OK’s Drug-Testing Policy
While that may seem like common sense, pre-employment drug screening wasn’t a policy in place until the school board approved the measure on Monday night.
New hires at the Brecksville-Broadview Heights School District will now be required to take a drug test. While that may seem like common sense, pre-employment drug screening wasn’t a policy in place until the school board approved the measure on Monday night. District treasurer Rick Berdine said the policy wasn’t based on any particular incident. It’s just a housekeeping measure, he added. “This applies to future new hires for the district, and is part of regularly reviewing policies and procedures for updating,” said Berdine.
