Summer might be over, but Honey Hut Ice Cream is still serving up cool treats to local families throughout the fall. The business that started in the ’70s in Cleveland has strong family ties, said Marcia Rosati, owner of the Brecksville store. The stores across the region, from Edgewater Park to Strongsville, are all owned by members of the Page family—Rosati is a member—and the homemade ice cream is created by Rosati’s brother. “We don’t skimp on quality just to save a dollar or two,” she added. The business uses fresh fruit and honey to create its ice cream—whatever they can find locally, Rosati said—and the flavors change with the seasons, like Pumpkin Pie in October.
