Part of Oakes Road Closed Tuesday

The road will be closed for construction in the late morning and early afternoon.

And the construction projects around town continue. On Tuesday, the portion of Oakes Road that runs over Interstate 77 is scheduled to be closed from 9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., according to the Ohio Department of Transportation. Drivers who need a detour can take Barr, Miller or Brecksville roads. The construction is dependent on the weather.

There will be detours for drivers.

At least the closure isn't during rush hour. According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, the portion of Oakes Road that runs over Interstate 77 is scheduled to be closed from 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Drivers will be detoured to Barr, Miller and Brecksville roads. The construction is dependent on the weather.

Repairs on State Route 82 to Close Road For Two Weeks in 2012

There is a failed culvert under the road.

Brecksville City Council approved a proposal from CTL Engineering Inc., to perform some tests on state Route 82 during its meeting Tuesday at City Hall. The project in question is a failed culvert under state Route 82—residents might have noticed a barrier of orange traffic cones blocking off the area on Royalton Road near the city line. City Engineer Gerald Wise brought up the problem at a council meeting in October, and members approved for Wise and Donald G. Bohning & Associates to create the design. The cost was not to exceed $20,000. At Tuesday’s meeting, they approved a bid of approximately $4,100 from CTL Engineering to do some geotechnical testing of the area and make recommendations to prevent future slippage. Portion of Snowville Road to be Closed Wednesday

Motorists will be detoured during construction.

If Snowville Road is a typical part of your daily drive, note that part of it will be closed tomorrow morning and early afternoon.  According to information from the Ohio Department of Transportation, the portion of Snowville Road that runs over Interstate 77 is scheduled to be closed from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Wednesday while work is done on the sidewalk. Drivers will be directed instead to Miller Road, Barr Road and state Route 21.  Construction depends on the weather.

The road is scheduled to be closed from early morning until early afternoon.

There’s another road closure in Brecksville this week that drivers should be aware of.  According to information from the Ohio Department of Transportation, the portion of Snowville Road that runs over Interstate 77 is scheduled to be closed from 4:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Friday. The concrete deck will be worked on during that time.  Drivers will be directed to take Barr Road, Miller Road or Brecksville Road instead.

Road Closures in Brecksville Wednesday, Thursday

The portion of Snowville Road that runs over Interstate 77 is scheduled to be closed for repairs tonight.   According to information from the Ohio Department of Transportation, the road will be closed from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. today. Crews will be working on the wall.  And on Thursday morning, the portion of Highland Drive that runs over Interstate 77 is scheduled to be closed starting at 5 a.m. According to a public notice of work from the Perk Company Inc., the company in charge of the construction, they will be working on the concrete deck and the repair will take about 8 hours.
