Last week we asked you to send us your Valentine's Day love song dedications and promised we'd create a Spotify playlist for your listening pleasure.  Click here to see who dedicated the songs to their loved ones. Blossom Hill Plans and All-Day Kindergarten Meetings: 5 Things to Know This Week

Brecksville’s Recreation Commission will meet at 6 p.m. on Monday in City Hall to begin discussing the proposed master plan for Blossom Hill. Check Brecksville Patch on Tuesday for a look at some of the ideas that are being discussed. Tuesday is Valentine’s Day! Dads and Daughters Celebrate Valentine’s Day at the Brecksville Community Center

More than 125 daughters, fathers and grandfathers filed into the Brecksville Community Center in their finest on Saturday for the annual Father-Daughter, Grandfather-Granddaughter dance, said Kelly McNeill, special events coordinator for the center.  The center has been hosting the dance for the past five years, McNeill said, and it has always landed on the Saturday before Valentine’s Day. The room the dance was held in was decorated appropriately in pinks and reds to match the holiday.   The young girls in attendance seemed to be having a good time, whether they were dancing with their dads to the Macarena, participating in a round of limbo or playing catch with the balloons scattered around the room. Brecksville Florist Prepares for Valentine's Day

Brecksville residents can stop by their neighborhood florist for those last-minute Valentine's Day gifts.

With Valentine's Day approaching soon, the staff at Brecksville Florist is working hard to provide a one-stop shop for this special occasion. "During Valentine's Day, we work late and work overtime to ensure all floral arrangements are ready on-time," said owner Patricia Penland. Brecksville Florist first opened its doors in 1952, and Penland has owned and run it since September 2009. Penland said they contribute their longevity to their top-notch designers and a wealth of industry experience. Their location is also a plus. "Brecksville Florist is the only floral shop in the community," Penland said. "The location is central to everyone in Brecksville and easy to locate."
