Blizzard Warning for Northeast Ohio
They're calling for a foot of snow Wednesday, plus high winds
The National Weather Service has canceled its winter storm warning and instead issued a blizzard warning for northeast Ohio, including Cuyahoga County. The blizzard warning is in effect from 7 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26 to 7 a.m. EST Thursday, Dec. 27. Heavy snow will combine with blustery northeast winds to create severe winter weather. “The winter storm warning is canceled,” the NWS said in its statement. “The national weather service in Cleveland has issued a blizzard warning. “This in an upgrade to the winter storm warning which was previously in effect.” United Airlines has already canceled many of its flights at Cleveland Hopkins Airport for Wednesday afternoon.
