Older students help younger ones learn to love reading in the program at the library.
For four weeks this summer, students of all ages gathered at the Brecksville branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library to explore the world of reading. Debra Brass, the library's children's supervisor, took a few minutes to thank everyone for taking part, …

Plenty of 'flying saucers' spotted in Cleveland area.
A Cleveland group that investigates reports of UFOs will have "Disclosure Day" on Sunday, July 8 in Brecksville. The purpose of the event is to promote government disclosure of information regarding UFOs. There are several national UFO organizations that track and investigate UFO sightings, like the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) and the National UFO Reporting Center. There have been plenty of recent sightings in the area listed on the NUFORC website. There are no Brecksville sightings from the past year, but there …

Alice, that is such a nice comment! It's great to hear that volunteering is a family activity. I really enjoyed talking to Courtni and the other participants about the program. (And tell Ken that we have a Patch out where he is, too, if he ever needs to reach out to other volunteers: http://portsmouth.patch.com/)   more ›
