Give to a good cause and watch those pesky Cuyahoga County library fines drop.
Library fines lightening your wallet? Well, not to worry, the Brecksville Library has announced the Food 4 Fines program which helps the poor, and your piggy bank. Here's how it works: Donate up to four food items per day, and reduce your library fines by up to $4. You can donate peanut butter, cereal, canned soup, canned vegetables, beef stew and tuna fish. Each of the six items is worth $1, and will be handed over to the Cleveland Foodbank. Only thing is, you can't donate glass containers, damaged or expired foods. You can donate to one or more of the other 27 Cuyahoga County public library branches, if you wish. Click here for the complete list.
