Car Lands in Ditch After Driver Forgets Brake
Things went downhill for one man on Sherwood Trail on July 10.
A man landed in a ditch after he forgot to set the parking break at a home in the 9460 block of Sherwood Trial at around after his car rolled out of his parking spot and into a ditch at around 5:55 p.m. July 10.
City service department employees were at the home checking on the water flow of a nearby stream saw his Honda Civic in a ditch. Turns out, he didn’t set the car’s parking brake.
It was all downhill from there.

The car came to rest at the bottom of the ditch, struck a small tree and “came to rest at almost a 90-degree angle,” according to the report.
It’s not clear whether running water did any damage to the interior of the car.
