Metal Breaks Loose From Truck, Damages Cars on Interstate 77

The following information was supplied by the Brecksville Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Flying metal? Police received a report that three vehicles were damaged on Interstate 77 at around 11:20 a.m. Aug. 5, when large pieces of metal became dislodged from a truck were hurled into traffic. No one was injured during the incident but the cars were damaged. A representative from the trucking company responded to the scene and cleaned up the debris from the highway.

Warrant: A 25-year-old Mayfield Heights man, who stopped into the Brecksville Police Department to pick up his wallet and cell phone at around 2 p.m. Aug. 5, was taken into custody on a warrant out of the Willowick Police Department.
