Brecksville and Ohio officials renamed a stretch of Route 82 to honor a local fallen marine Sunday, The Plain Dealer reported.
Sgt. Dennis Kancler died in Afghanistan July 31, 2011. Weeks later, city and county officials named the Old Royalton Road Bridge after the Brecksville native.
The renaming, part of Brecksville's Home Days, was attended by Brecksville Mayor Jerry Hruby, Sen. Tom Patton (R-Strongsville) and Rep. Marlene Anielski (R-Independence), the newspaper reports.
