Wall Collapses, Evacuates Residents at Carriage Hill Condo

It's not quite clear why the wall collapsed, however no one was reported injured in the incident.

The residents of four units in a condominium building at 6950 Carriage Hill Drive are still misplaced after the large exterior wall collapsed on June 25.

A large mound of soil rests near the collapsed wall, right next to a large pile of twisted debris from windows and frames.

It’s not quite clear why the wall collapsed, however Brecksville service director Ron Weidig said no one was injured in the incident.

Yellow caution tape blocks off the entrances and garages of the homes, and a notice posted on the door from the city warns residents to stay out.

Two large storage trailers are posted in the parking lot, giving residents a place to store their belongings.

A few neighbors in the Carriage Hill condos told Brecksville Patch that they still don't know what caused the collapse.
